Austin
A Protection Dog for Your Austin Home
Austin has grown fast, and so has the number of people here who want real protection without a guard at the gate. We train at a world-championship level, and we deliver the finished dog to your door anywhere in Central Texas.
Westlake, Tarrytown and Central Austin. Many of the people we work with here run companies or carry a public profile. A trained protection dog is a steady presence in the house that doesn't need a schedule, a shift change or a second vehicle.
Lake Travis, Lakeway and Spicewood. Lake homes and big lots mean long sight lines and open water access. Your dog notices anyone who shouldn't be there and stays under your control.
Round Rock, Georgetown and Cedar Park. Growing neighborhoods north of the city get a dog that is calm in the house, easy in public and serious when it counts.
Dripping Springs, Wimberley and the Hill Country. Ranches and acreage get a dog that is at home on open land and just as steady when you bring it into town.
World Champion Trainer
National Champion. North American Champion. World Team Champion. I've been training dogs at the highest level, competitively and professionally, since 1978.
Award Winning Dogs
Dogs from our own program have won National, North American and World championships. Yours comes from that same program.
Hundreds of Successful Deliveries

48 Years. One Standard. The Man Behind Every Dog.
My name is Wayne Simanovich. Training protection dogs since 1978 — that's not a marketing number. Nineteen years old when I started, and still doing it every day.
Competing against the best dogs and handlers in the world, across six countries, and placing dogs with executives, politicians, entertainers, athletes, and government officials. But the phone calls that matter most are the ones from families who just want to feel safe in their own home. Those calls come in every day.
The world is not a safe place. The stories come in daily. People who've had a break-in. People who live alone and don't sleep well. People whose jobs make them visible. People who just had kids and started thinking about security for the first time. The answer is always the same: a well-trained dog changes the equation.
A protection dog turns constant vigilance into quiet confidence. You stop checking the windows. You stop lying awake listening. The dog is listening for you. And it's also your companion, your family member, and a lot of fun. That's the whole point of Huggable Security.
Founded this company in 1978. Most of my competitors weren't born yet. Every piece of genetic material we breed from is personally selected, and the standard every dog has to meet is set by me. But this isn't done alone. My staff has been with me for decades — some of them more than thirty years. They're the reason this standard holds. It hasn't moved in 48 years, and it's not going to.
When your dog arrives at your door, it's the product of a time-honored system and a staff that has raised hundreds of dogs for families just like yours. We've changed a lot of lives. Welcome to Huggable Security.

What To Expect with a trained protection dog
Health
A Fully Trained Adult is a young dog in its prime — vibrant, strong, with a responsive immune system, and past the vaccination stage. Before a dog is ever bred in our program, we screen the breeding partners for congenital health defects and radiograph hips and elbows. Good health starts with the genetic material, and we start there.

Why Families Choose a Professionally Trained Adult Protection Dog
Supplying professional Huggable Security™. A Personal Companion Delivering Peace of Mind.
An Alarm
More effective than a security system. If your dog is barking at 2am there is a reason. Be awake. Be alert. Be prepared for any intrusion.
A Threat
A powerful visual deterrent. When confronted with a trained adult, most miscreants take their ill will and bad intentions elsewhere.
Manstopping Deterrent
In the rare occurrence some fool wants to challenge your dog, you'll have time for instant, potentially life-saving decisions.
And Oh Yes, Fun!
Owning a well-trained dog is a lot of fun! 99.9% of the time your dog is your controllable and playful pet. Many of our clients turn their new companion into a serious hobby.
