A Protection Dog for Your Kansas City Home
A protection dog should be a pleasure to live with and serious when it counts. We train at a world-championship level, and we deliver the finished dog to your door in Kansas and Missouri.
Mission Hills, Leawood and Johnson County. Many of the people we work with here run companies or travel for work. A trained protection dog is a constant presence at home that doesn't need a schedule or a shift change.
The Plaza, Sunset Hill and Ward Parkway. Older homes close to the city get a dog that is calm in the house, easy on a walk and ready if something goes wrong.
Lee's Summit, Liberty and Parkville. Larger lots and quieter streets mean your dog is the first line of awareness. It announces anyone who shouldn't be there and stays under your control.
Lawrence, Topeka, Wichita and rural Missouri. Farms and acreage get a dog that is at home on open land and just as steady in town.
World Champion Trainer
National Champion. North American Champion. World Team Champion. I've been training dogs at the highest level, competitively and professionally, since 1978.
Award Winning Dogs
Dogs from our own program have won National, North American and World championships. Yours comes from that same program.
Hundreds of Successful Deliveries

48 Years. One Standard. The Man Behind Every Dog.
My name is Wayne Simanovich. Training protection dogs since 1978 — that's not a marketing number. Nineteen years old when I started, and still doing it every day.
Competing against the best dogs and handlers in the world, across six countries, and placing dogs with executives, politicians, entertainers, athletes, and government officials. But the phone calls that matter most are the ones from families who just want to feel safe in their own home. Those calls come in every day.
The world is not a safe place. The stories come in daily. People who've had a break-in. People who live alone and don't sleep well. People whose jobs make them visible. People who just had kids and started thinking about security for the first time. The answer is always the same: a well-trained dog changes the equation.
A protection dog turns constant vigilance into quiet confidence. You stop checking the windows. You stop lying awake listening. The dog is listening for you. And it's also your companion, your family member, and a lot of fun. That's the whole point of Huggable Security.
Founded this company in 1978. Most of my competitors weren't born yet. Every piece of genetic material we breed from is personally selected, and the standard every dog has to meet is set by me. But this isn't done alone. My staff has been with me for decades — some of them more than thirty years. They're the reason this standard holds. It hasn't moved in 48 years, and it's not going to.
When your dog arrives at your door, it's the product of a time-honored system and a staff that has raised hundreds of dogs for families just like yours. We've changed a lot of lives. Welcome to Huggable Security.

What To Expect with a trained protection dog
Health
A Fully Trained Adult is a young dog in its prime — vibrant, strong, with a responsive immune system, and past the vaccination stage. Before a dog is ever bred in our program, we screen the breeding partners for congenital health defects and radiograph hips and elbows. Good health starts with the genetic material, and we start there.

Why Families Choose a Professionally Trained Protection Dog
An Alarm
First and foremost, your dog is an alarm, and a more effective one than a wired system. It can't be defeated by cut wires or a power failure. Your dog can wake you from a dead sleep and give you time to reach your other security measures, such as firearms.
A Threat
When an intruder breaks in and is welcomed by your 85-pound trained German Shepherd or trained Belgian Malinois, the sight alone is a deterrent. Even walking down the street with your handsome, well-trained dog is security in itself.
Manstopper
A dog well trained in the protection phases can be more than enough to stop a physical threat.
Companionship
There are numerous studies pointing to the benefits of dog ownership. Perhaps nothing is more valuable than adding to your health by adding a dog to your life.
Fun
And there's no doubt about it: having a dog from our program provides a whole lot of fun, from exercise, to working the dog through its obedience routines, to having some fun in the protection phases. Huggable Security™ at its finest.
